Description Provenance Bibliography

The drawing depicts a bust of Daniele Ranzoni. A photograph of the painter was used as basis for the drawing and as a study for the plaster bust of Daniele Ranzoni, kept at the Museo del Paesaggio. The present drawing was donated by Troubetzkoy to the Museo della Sala Storica of Intra in 1912 (“Verbania”, May 1912, p. 116). The technique used by Troubetzkoy, with quick traces of pencil, is a personal hommage from to his maestro Ranzoni.
